Relationships inspire all of my work. For me, there is nothing more important or more fascinating. Through 14 years of practice, exploration and education, I have developed my artistic approach that is rooted in the use of film. I find the subtleties of film to be so inspiring and exactly the way I want to share my vision of the world – the colors, the tones, the beauty and depth all working together to make images that feel emotional. In a world where we can always have more of nearly everything, film inspires me to keep my life and my work intentional, simple, inspired and beautiful.
My two current personal bodies of work include an exploration of home and a series of jewelry pieces that incorporate my images.
My work has been featured in numerous publications including Minnesota Bride, Style Me Pretty, The Wall Street Journal, City Pages, Vita.mn, Recording Magazine, A Practical Wedding, I Love Farm Weddings, Wisconsin Bride, L’Etoile Magazine and The Minnesota Women’s Press.
When not making pictures, I can be found usually hanging out with my partner, drinking a Surly Furious, listening to some good music or watching episodes of The West Wing. If it’s Sunday, I’m definitely lingering over a cup of good coffee with The New York Times.
